Fernando Moya, MD is currently a member of Pediatrix Medical Group of Austin,and a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Texas AM Medical School. He graduated with maximum distinction and completed his pediatric residency at the Catholic University of Chile. He then completed his Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship at Yale University. During his academic career, Dr. Moya was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Yale University, held an Endowed Professorship and was the Director of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the University of Texas-Houston, and more recently was Professor of Pediatrics and Director of the Division of Wilmington Pediatric Specialties at the UNC School of Medicine.

Dr. Moya is board-certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. He has been involved in clinical and translational research throughout his career and was the principal investigator for 2 pivotal trials that resulted in FDA approval. He has over 90 peer-reviewed publications in Pediatrics, Pediatric Research, Journal of Pediatrics, The Lancet, Journal of Perinatology, New England Journal of Medicine, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, among other journals. Also, he has written 17 invited articles and 22 book chapters. Dr. Moya has given over 170 guest lectures in more than 25 countries.
